REASONS TO APPLY FOR CYPRUS CITIZENSHIP

• Visa-free travel to 174 countries worldwide, including all European Union countries, Australia and Canada. Reside and work within the EU
• The spouse of the applicant and his/her children can obtain Cyprus Citizenship (children aged under 18 years and adult dependent children aged over 18 and up to 28 years)​
• Both parents of the investor and his/her spouse​ are also entitled to apply for Cyprus Citizenship by exception provided that they own a lifetime residence of at least € 500.000 (excluding VAT)
•  Free Movement of goods, services and Capital - Transfer any amount of money from any EU Member State to another, purchase of property in any EU Member State of choice and invest in any activities
• Adult applicants must hold a Residence Permit in Cyprus for at least 6 months prior to acquiring the Cyprus Citizenship
• No requirement to reside in Cyprus either before, during or after the approval of the citizenship application
• Dual citizenship permitted.

REQUIREMENTS FOR INVESTORS

• The minimum investment amount is € 2 million (+ VAT if applicable)
• The investors must own a permanent residence in Cyprus of minimum € 500.000. The residence from the date of Naturalisation must be kept for life
• Keeping investments for a period of minimum 5 years. In case of purchase of immovable property under construction, the 5 year period will start to count from the date of issuance of the planning permit
• Clean criminal record for all adult applicants from the country of Permanent Residency with a validity of six months​
• Donation of €200 000 into Government controlled funds for the support of the local economy.

INFORMATION TO HAVE IN MIND

• The review process by the Government Authorities is six to eight months
• Applicant does not become a tax resident in Cyprus, unless he/she spends more than 183 days in any one calendar year
• The approval of Citizenship under the relevant decision is granted by the Cyprus Council of Ministers
• The Citizenship is valid for life
